Sometimes I feel like Paul and Barnabas dealing with the people of Lycaonia. I want to run out and scream: “You people, why do you do these things?” (Acts 14:15) Of course, I’m not in any danger of anyone worshipping me, but our nation is in great danger.

It is blind. Most people would consider our intelligence agencies as the eyes of our nation. They are supposed to peer into the darkness of this world and warn the nation of imminent threats. But blind and corrupt as they may be, they are not the eyes of our nation. At their finest, they are like scientists which see only the things which can be seen. The things of this world.

The Apostle Paul warned us of a hidden enemy:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Ephesians 6:12

According to this verse, any harm that can come against America or any other nation, originates not from mankind or “mother nature” but from “principalities and powers” located in the spiritual realm.

So, the real eyes of this nation are its prophets and watchmen who see into the spiritual realm. And right now, they are blind in a very bad way. They are not simply sleeping watchdogs, they have been co-opted to spread lies and distraction.

You may have heard from a “YouTube prophet” or even a reputable pastor that the path of totality of the April 8th eclipse will pass over seven cities named Nineveh.

This is false. There are only two cities named Nineveh on the path of totality and they can hardly be called cities.

Here is an example from America’s most reliable news source: TikTok. On February 27, 2024 @brycejustchillen posted a video captioned:

But anyways, what I’m getting at…This right here is the 2017 solar eclipse and this right here is the 2024 solar eclipse. That’s the path it’s going to be making, it’s going to be making an X over the United States. 2017 was seven years ago and the next one is seven years later which is going to be here in a month. You all know how the number seven always pops up in the Bible. But it just so happens that this 2024 one is going to be going through some towns named Nineveh. Nineveh, Texas. Nineveh, Missouri. Nineveh, Indiana. Nineveh, Ohio. Nineveh, Pennsylvania. Nineveh, Virginia. Nineveh, New York. And Nineveh, Nova Scotia.

Well that’s sort of true. There are seven “places” named Nineveh in America, but they aren’t towns. Most are little more than a mailbox in a cornfield. They are what geographers would call placenames. But that isn’t the biggest problem. The biggest problem is that only two of the seven Nineveh’s occur on the path of totality which is the part of the eclipse that tells a story. Here’s a map I have created that shows their location related to the path of totality:

In their desire to “string” together the magic number of seven Ninevehs the “YouTube” prophets are misleading their followers. As watchmen and witnesses for Christ, we should feel urgency to warn the wicked from destruction, but we must also avoid crossing the line into the the territory of being false prophets.

I have logged tens of thousands of hours studying solar eclipses and know from history the location of place names in relation to the path of totality is extremely important. If it’s not on the path it’s not important. Eclipses are like traffic signs. You’re supposed to read the words on the placard. There may be “lost dog” signs or bumper stickers placed around the periphery but you just read the sign.

You might still be wondering if there is still some significance to the two Nineveh’s on the path. There may be. Remember the seven “Salems” that were supposedly on the path in 2017? Well, there weren’t seven Salems on the path. One was a graveyard and the another, Salem, MO, wasn’t even on the path; but there was still significance to the other Salems.

Placenames along the path of totality tell a story of events correlated with a particular eclipse. I say “correlated” because I do not subscribe to the idea that the physical heavens “influence” events on this earth. Eclipses are monuments to things that have already happened. Try to wrap your mind around that one.

One of the first places the eclipse crossed on August 21, 2017 was Salem, Oregon; and sure enough, on December 6, 2017 Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. It also just so happened that there was a city named “Donald” just to the north of Salem, OR.

But the rest of the Salems were not so impressive. You might say they got smaller as the path of totality progressed. Salem means “peace” in Hebrew. Combining the meaning of Salem with the Salems of decreasing importance should have given the impression that “peace” would decrease approaching the exit point of the eclipse. And indeed, it did.

The shadow of totality departed over Fort Sumter where the first shots of the American Civil War were fired by southern Democrats. Clearly, the eclipse of August 2017 signaled a coming civil war. “Trump Derangement Syndrome” metastasized into the delusional drum beat of “Russian Collusion” which kept on until we reached the exit point.

Which brings us back to the eclipse of April 8, 2024. What significance do the Nineveh’s have in relation to the eclipse of April 8, 2024? Here is what I think. They come after the path crosses the New Madrid fault zone which signifies a “shaking” coming to America. Perhaps repentance will follow?
